Dead Deer Removal in Lancaster
The one most people cannot handle themselves. An adult deer is a two-person lift, it will not fit in anything you own, and your trash service is not a disposal route for it.
Access decides this, not the deer
The animal is roughly the same everywhere. The ground between it and a vehicle is not. A deer twenty feet off a paved driveway in town and a deer at the bottom of a wooded draw off a long gravel lane toward Sugar Grove are the same carcass and nothing like the same job.
Fairfield County gives you both within half an hour of each other, which is why a price quoted without asking about access is a price somebody is guessing at.
Details that change the quote
- Roughly where on the property, and how far from somewhere a truck can stop
- Whether a gate, fence line, ditch or slope is in the way
- How long it has been there, as near as you can tell
- Whether it is intact, and whether anything has been at it
- Whether you own the property or are reporting it for somebody else

Hit on the road, dead on your grass
The usual sequence. An animal hit near a road can travel a surprising distance before it drops, and where it drops is what decides whose problem it is. If it ended up on private ground, the statute says that is the owner's.

Autumn
Rut season and hunting season between them make this the busiest stretch of the year for deer on private land. Questions about tagging or reporting belong with the Ohio Division of Wildlife rather than with a removal operator.
Smaller than a deer?
Raccoon, opossum, groundhog or skunk out in the open is outside pickup. Something in a garage, attic or crawl space is inside a building. A smell with nothing visible is the smell page.
